A BEWITCHING JAPANESE FAIRY TALE

After escaping the cruelty of Ogimachi Orphanage, Hiroshi Maeda finds himself transported to a world far darker than the one he left behind.

Lost deep within an enchanted forest, he discovers a dying man at the centre of an impossible conflict. Two women claim to be the man's wife. Both insist the other is a monster. Both plead for Hiroshi's help. But only one is telling the truth.

In this bizarre world, ancient magic twists reality, evil lurks in every shadow, and somewhere in the darkness, a witch waits patiently for Hiroshi to make a mistake.

Because if he chooses the wrong woman, the dying man will suffer a terrible fate... one painful needle at a time. And Hiroshi might just be next.

Fantasy with a Precautionary Lesson

J.A. Khan’s THE WITCH OF A THOUSAND NEEDLES engulfs all age ranges from YA to Adults with a tale of dark fantasy with a precautionary side that readers will thoroughly enjoy.

Filled with incredible descriptions, believable dialogue and plenty of actions that come to life, this tale and the good versus evil battle is one of those books you want to read again as a lost orphan boy in search of food, instead finds deadly adventure where one wrong decision could be deadly, not only to him, but to an innocent wife and her dying husband.

Will Maeda find he is no match for an evil witch? Is his youthful trust in others, honest or not be his down fall?

Beautifully written, this Asian fairy tale is magnetic from start to finish and a wonderful story to share with everyone.

Imaginative Tale Of Good Vs. Evil

An excellent folktale of good vs. evil, scary at times, humorous at times. The character of Tomo and the interaction with the main character reminded me of the humour (the donkey) in Shrek.
Generally fast-paced in character and plot development.
The tale would work well as a comic strip/graphic novel style book.
I recommend it, predominantly to mid-teens.

Very entertaining

Very enjoyable story. Atmospheric, creepy, and humorous in parts. Wonderful cast of characters. Loved Hiroshi and Tomo.

Would have given 5 stars but I spotted a few small typos. Sorry but typos always spoil my reading experience.

A good read

A rather well-paced and interesting spin on the usual "witch in the woods" sort of story. For the most part, the books moves along quickly, not really dragging for too long, with younger protagonist that actually acts their age.
