BECAUSE SOMETIMES, EVEN THE ZANIEST NIGHTMARES REALLY CAN COME TRUE...

Twins, Seb and Josh Doyle, and their foolish friends are back to face yet more crazy dangers in England’s strangest, not to mention spookiest neighbourhood, Lordshill. It’s a place where each passing day can turn your hairs white from fright.

Beset by the foulest curse known to man, all its residents are fair game for the evil that lurks there waiting to pounce on those unsuspecting wretches. Indeed, the locals can never guess just what may take a shine to tormenting them next. It could be a psychotic toy with a penchant for breaking bones, or insatiable slugs and snails quietly munching their way through the estate. There’s the mysterious milkman who collects more than empty bottles from the doorstep, and the deadly army recruiter sending unwilling conscripts to the frontline. The residents know all too well living in Lordshill comes with these unique and most unexpected perils. But once someone sets foot inside its boundaries, they cannot leave. Ever!

So, if you like RL Stine then you’ll love this collection of spooky short stories packed with jitters, critters, and side-splitting titters.

“It’s like Goosebumps for grown-ups.” A.R. Marston

Chilling fun

Another enjoyable read; the short stories were unique and very interesting - especially the last 2 which were more on the spookier side! I'd recommend to tweens and fans of Grizzly Tales for Gruesome Kids or Goosebumps.

Perfect for scary book fans

I really enjoyed this book. It was fun and spooky. My favourite stories were the hungry slug one and the mad dog one. My mum didn’t let me read the one about the milkman, she said that was a bit too scary for my age, so I have given 4 stars because I don’t know how good that story is.

I've always liked Kahn's yarns and this is certainly no exception. Both intriguing and suspensful, as well as containing some clever humor, this latest offering won't disappoint. Highly recommended!
