BECAUSE SOMETIMES, EVEN THE ZANIEST NIGHTMARES REALLY CAN COME TRUE...

The Doyle boys grew up in Lordshill, the spookiest neighbourhood in the whole of England. It’s a place which harbours a wicked secret — the mischief curse — a malediction that transforms the mundane into the supernatural.

Follow Seb and Josh Doyle, and their band of diehard friends, as they struggle to get through the most bizarre daily goings-on. From a spot of innocent apple theft that comes with lifelong, sticky repercussions to taking part in deadly dares that go horribly wrong, you won’t believe the troubles these kids face.

So, if you like clean, creepy, fun tales, then you’ll love this collection of spooky short stories packed with jitters, critters, and side-splitting titters.

"It's Goosebumps for grown-ups." A.R. Marston

Middle grade/YA readers and older will enjoy these stories.

This was a fun read, perfect for tween readers. A great mix of comedy and horror with a unique collection of stories, especially good for lovers of series like Goosebumps.

Perfect for scary reading book addicts

I love how JA Kahn made scary books actually fun again. Its all funny, scary & more. I love all of the twists and turns he made, JA Kahn really outdid himself in this thrilling book, well done! As a nine year old, I would say it's the perfect thriller and twist book.

Refreshingly original and laugh out loud funny!

This was not what my 12-year-old girls, or I was expecting. A collection of fun, somewhat spooky short stories. All are original and well written. Plus the writing is age appropriate and clean. My kids loved the book, especially since the main characters, like them, are twins. They laughed a lot, and I really enjoyed it too.

I will definitely read more work by this author. Well worth a punt if you’re not sure.

Entertaining Creepy stories

Four entertaining and creepy stories of Sebastian and Joshua and their friends, and the strange things that happen to them. The stories are fun and creepy a la Goosebumps with fun young characters and inventive ideas. I liked The Acorn War and I dare you particularly and thought Hoping on a star was the most interesting idea but did not read quite as well. An excellent read. I received a complimentary copy from the Author and am leaving a honest voluntary review

Superb

This was a great read. Really enjoyable, fun characters and unbelievably spooky circumstances. Glad my childhood wasn’t as dangerous or as frightening as that of the Doyle twins. My favourite story was the last one, Hopping on a Star - it will make you think twice about wishing your life was different.

As someone who grew up on RL Stine’s Goosebumps I found this is very much in that vain. You’ll love it.
